In my previous minis, lots of patience and effort was needed, mounting speakers in a clean and solid way. I mounted them in the front doors (had to buy special flat speakers) and in the metal back panel behind the rear seats. Especially chipping of the metal of the rear panel was something I didn't want to go over again. I decided that I wanted to make some cabinet that I could take out and install in an other mini very easily. This is the result.

Another photo of the installed cabinets which shows that there is still space left in the metal bin to store stuff. Note that the cabinets are not bolted or glued whatsoever, the exact fit holds them in place solidly.
